Ruaka, Kenya Neighbourhood Guide
Located about 19km from CBD via Limuru road, Ruaka is one of the fastest growing towns in Kiambu County and the greater Nairobi Metropolitan area. It is located North West of Nairobi and borders other estates such as Rosslyn, Gachie, Runda etc.
A brief History
About half a decade ago, Ruaka was just some vast agriultural land planted with leafy vegetables, mainly occupied by farmers. Many people were therefore not living there as compared to today. People hence started to kove into those areas as land was cheap, the town was strategically located and the aforementioned reasons.
It serves as both a commercial and residential area.
It is well served with schools, shopping malls such as Two Rivers and Rosslyn mall, hospitals ...
Ruaka attracts young professionals and expatriates working in multinationals in that area.
Land is priced from 35m for half an acre and the price is only going to go up since the town has experienced a very high construction boom as people prefer living away from Nairobi town.

To get to Ruaka from the CBD Nairobi, you can board matatus at the River rd bus stage that following the Limuru rd .Fare is usually 50 to 70KES depending on time of day
