Located approximately 6.3 Kilometres by road Mombasa road from the Nairobi Central Business District, South C is a modern suburb within Nairobi.
It is one among the five wards in Langata Constituency whose current Member of Parliament is Nixon Korir. Other wards within the Langata constituency include Karen, Nairobi West, Mugumoini, and Nyayo Highrise
Within Langata constituency it covers an area of about 15.2 square kilometers.
According to the 2009 population census, its population was just above 47202 people. Recent citations however denote that South C has a population north of over 100000 citizens as of 2020, an increase of about 150%.
